As Head of Embedded Software (eSW) Development Digital Gears you will lead a team of 10+ passionate engineers that is responsible for developing and testing eSW of innovative LED components. The team is based at our headquarter in Dornbirn (Austria) which is the competence and technological center of eSW.

In this very challenging position, you will lead, manage and mentor a multicultural, strong eSW development team with a focus on advancement in automation of testing, system verification and validation as well as acceleration of the transition towards agile way of working.

By providing an internal eSW platform, you ensure that all Tridonic products are easy to use and easy to connect. For that you will work in close cooperation with our eSW-Development Department in Ennenda (CH), Spennymoor (UK) and Shenzhen (CHN).

  • You define the technology roadmap for eSW of digital gears in close cooperation with hardware development and product management.
  • You are responsible for an appropriate long-term planning and relevant competence nurturing.
  • You ensure that eSW projects will be executed in the most efficient way in terms of time, quality and sustainability, with ability to accommodate short-term changes in priority.
  • You evaluate and monitor future trends in order to constantly improve and establish a “state of the art” eSW development with integrated software testing/automation.

Anforderungen

You’re a LEADER with an inspiring communication and passion for product software development and testing.

  • You have a proven track of strong leadership experience which allows to identify the strengths of the individuals orchestrating them into an outstanding success of the team.
  • You have successfully completed a university degree (electronics, IT or similar discipline) and gained 5+ comparable experience in eSW and C/C++ programming – ideally in an industrial environment and with tools like git, Eclipse, Jira, Polarion.
  • You have a strategic mindset and a structured, organised approach to get things done in VUCA environment.
  • You enjoy leading multicultural teams and you are fluent in English with German as an advantage.
