For the past four years, the family-owned company Vetter has been producing small batches of innovative, not-yet-approved pharmaceuticals for clinical trials at its site in Rankweil, Austria. These products are developed for international clients with the utmost precision.
Many of the nearly 100 current employees come from non-pharmaceutical backgrounds—among them is Frank Daffix. A trained automotive mechanic by trade, he now leads the Process Implementation and Production departments. It’s a fascinating field of work: every drug is manufactured in a cleanroom environment and, ultimately, has the potential to save lives.
